New Readings and Meaning in a Bemused World
A morning session for students of AS and A level Film and Media, lead by Robert Clement
Robert Clement will look at Gus Van Sant’s acclaimed award-winner Elephant with reference to relevant supporting films. By placing the film into a bigger social context, the presentation will be a step-by-step analytical rundown ofthe formal qualities (narrative, æsthetics, characters, visual motifs etc) and their meaning with regards to the Columbine killings of 1999.
Suitable for all film and media students (e.g. WJEC FS2, AQA AS1, OCR 2732, WJEC Media Unit 5), particularly AS students seeking an introduction to Audience and Institution.
Tickets £4.00 per student
There will be an education pack for teachers for each session
